Crown Point Central School was chosen as an experimental school project for developing feasible fire exits for the handicapped. The scope of work included ramps, elevator towers with emergency power back-up, and specially constructed fire refuge areas. All work had to interface with the existing historic fabric yet result in fully code-compliant construction. |
