VINS Nature Center

Our team was tasked with developing a campus plan, administration and aviary program buildings, designed with sustainability in mind. The Vermont Institute of Natural Science wished to organize and consolidate its off-site programs, staff, and support facilities into a more cohesive campus used by visiting groups of students, families, and scientists. The new buildings were designed using refined versions of the same forms and rustic materials used to construct the original bird shelters. This collection of buildings strengthens VINS’ signature rural campus while greatly expanding the ability of the organization to teach and accomplish its mission.
