It started with an engineer and a surveyor.

Professional Engineer, Wayne Ryan, and Land Surveyor, Scott Allen, founded AES Northeast in 1988. The firm quickly expanded, bringing in additional specialties to serve the needs of the Adirondack region. In 2019, AES expanded their footprint again, bringing on the highly talented team from Gardner-Kilkoyne Architects in Vermont.

Today, with over 45 dedicated professionals, AES Northeast provides a wide range of services for municipal, commercial, institutional, private development, and residential clients throughout Northern New York and Vermont.

Over the years, AES has remained intentionally regional. We have worked to build and maintain familiarity with local conditions, governments, agencies, and the best local contractors. We are always nearby—highly accessible to all of our clients throughout design and construction, and long after project completion. In more than thirty years of business, AES Northeast has grown to be a proven leader across Northern New York and Vermont.
