St. Mary's school was damaged by fire in September of 2014. AES's architecture and engineering teams worked efficiently through the restoration. The school was extensively damaged by fire in September 2014 requiring substantial renovations. AES worked expeditiously to complete design in February 2015 to stay on target for the September 2015 project completion. Mechanical work included heating plant with (4) LPG fired condensing boilers, end suction pumps, piping, tanks, & appurtenances. Packaged rooftop ERV’s were installed to provide ventilation to interior spaces as well as the gymnasium, which also included a new air handling unit to provide recirculation and supplemental heat. The kitchen received a Type I exhaust hood with exhaust fan & roof mounted direct-fired MUA. Plumbing work included plumbing fixtures, domestic water piping, master thermostatic mixing station with recirculation & water service entrance with PRV & backflow preventer. Electrical work included service panels, distribution, & lighting in addition to a fire alarm system, access control, CCTV security, clock system, date & communications. Architectural work included replacement of all damaged windows, casework, finishes, gym floor, & roof. Also, major code upgrade work included an exterior insulation finish system, accessible toilet room, wheelchair lift to second floor, & fire rating the corridor walls & new stairway.
