The Town of Beekmantown had historically stored more than 12,000 cy (cubic yards) of salt/sand mixture for their highway maintenance use. Due to potential environmental impacts from the salt/sand being exposed to the natural elements, the Town of Beekmantown applied for and received a grant to construct a salt storage facility. Special Notes of Interest: The salt storage facility was designed to house 12,000 cy of salt/sand mixture.
