The ACK JFD has a vast territory to cover and had outgrown their existing facility. The facility needed substantial structural upgrades as well as other improvements to accommodate a more modern operation. AES provided full design services for renovating the existing station as well as a 3,200 square foot, 4-bay addition to the Apparatus Bay. Special Notes of Interest: The fire district occupied the facility during construction which presented challenges in providing un-interrupted power and communication for the emergency operations as well as temporary water and heat. Proper phasing allowed this to occur and keep the fire station online throughout construction.
