Plattsburgh, NY – AES Northeast is proud to announce exciting news from four members of our team.  Architects Erin Allison and Matthew Reed have been promoted from the role of Associate to Senior Associate, and Electrical Engineer Paul Ford was promoted to be an Associate with the firm. In addition, Surveying Technician Ben Goff successfully passed the Land Surveying licensure exams.

PROMOTIONS

Erin Allison, RA, joined AES in 2003 and has continued to grow as an Architect, but also as a team leader with a strong work ethic.  Erin’s motto is to ‘lead by example’, which she exemplifies daily – as does her colleague Matthew Reed, RA, who joined AES in 2021.   Matthew’s skill and dedication to AES, and to the ever-changing field of Architecture has enabled him to rise as a leader in the past five years.  The entire AES team is thrilled for Erin and Matt – both have proven to be exemplary colleagues, mentors and team players.

Paul Ford, PE, recently earned his professional engineering license and is an Electrical Engineer in AES’s Building Systems Division which includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering. Paul began his tenure at AES in 2018 as an Engineering Technician II, working in the field while preparing for his Professional Engineering exam.  In March, his hard work paid off, and he passed the exam. Subsequently, AES Partners deemed Paul’s expertise and professional initiative sufficient to earn him a well-deserved promotion to Associate at the firm.

Senior Associates and Associates are unanimously recognized by all partners of the firm as crucial to the firm’s high level of commitment and dedication to the clients we serve, and for their belief in high-quality services and standards.  Associates have the potential to become a partner in the firm.

LICENSURE ANNOUNCEMENT

In October 2025, seven-year staffer and Surveying Technician Ben Goff announced that he passed the three exams overseen by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).  We are excited to announce that Ben has officially earned the title of Licensed Land Surveyor.  To qualify to take the exams, Ben had to apply to NCEES, clearly identifying a combination of eight years of education and experience.  Over the next four months, Ben studied for and successfully passed the Fundamentals of Surveying, Principles and Practices of Surveying, and NYS Specific Land Surveying exams.
